From belief to practice
The League acts on public-policy issues only after study and member agreement. Our Education Fund supports unbiased study, civic learning, participation, and constructive public problem-solving.
Local League members share trusted, nonpartisan voter information.
How we work
The League studies public issues, educates voters, and advocates on positions adopted by members. We never support or oppose candidates or political parties.
Members may be politically active as individuals, and people who hold public office are welcome to join. When representing the League, we speak from adopted positions—not for a party or candidate. Some leadership roles carry additional requirements to protect public trust. Every member’s experience and perspective can contribute to a stronger democracy.
